What is the Red Cow Society?
We are the musical stylings of Ben, who often goes by macgeek online. Our music is produced using a MacBook Pro and GarageBand '08, with the occasional help of an Ibanez bass guitar. We've been making music since 2005, when we used an iBook G4 with GarageBand 2.
As we continue on our quest for musical enlightenment, we will encounter stranger sounds than those you have already heard. Experimentation is key to our music. Combining extremes from electronica, rock, and other genres, we have created music with emotion, landscape, depth, and counter-intuitive sound combinations. We will strive for the zenith of musical experimentation.
What genre is this?
The best we can come up with is experimental electronica mixed with rock. We do a lot of experimenting with sound, and the results will vary from song to song.
Where can I get the music?
Our first three albums are currently available to download for free. Our fourth album, which we are currently working on, will introduce a new pay-what-you-want system.
How does this "pay-what-you-want" system work?
All of our music will still be free to download, but at a lower quality than if you purchase the tracks. Higher-quality lossless tracks will be able to be purchased at any price. Albums will be available for a minimum price of 10¢ per track. This system will be implemented with the release of our fourth album.
